Men Who Cook, sponsored by the Brooke It Forward Foundation, is the primary annual fundraiser for Children’s Advocacy Center – Hope House, a local nonprofit that provides hope, healing and justice for victims of child abuse on the Northshore. Local “celebrities” (community leaders) team up with local restaurants to compete to raise the most money for Hope House, and to see who can create the best dish!
In addition to our traditional Men Who Cook gala in Covington on November 6, our celebrity + restaurant teams will compete to raise money for Hope House by offering “dine-in deals” at their restaurant during the month prior to the big gala!
That means patrons will have the opportunity to donate on site at some of their favorite restaurants and unlock exclusive promotions during the month of October, and through November 5! The team with the highest fundraising total will win the award for “Most Money Raised for Hope House!”
And you definitely don’t want to miss our gala on the rooftop of the Justice Center parking garage in Covington on Nov. 6! It includes tastings of each team’s featured dish (and a lively competition), wine and beer, live music by Louisiana Music Hall of Fame inductee Gregg Martinez, a silent auction and more!
