Established in 1991 as Louisiana’s first Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), the Jefferson CAC is a nationally accredited, non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate services to child abuse survivors and breaking the cycle of abuse. Our mission is to assist in the investigation, treatment and prevention of child victimization by utilizing a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) approach that includes Law Enforcement, Prosecutors, Social Services, Mental Health and Medical Professionals. Since opening our doors, over 7,000 children have been seen for forensic interviews and provided access to mental health and medical services, while nearly 34,000 Jefferson Parish elementary school students have been educated about body and Internet safety.
